Congrats to Allison! We’ve also added a still for the show as well.

The long-running British TV drama “Shameless” is being adapted for Showtime with William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum leading the cast.

The premium cable channel said Thursday it’s ordered 12 episodes of the series about a Chicago blue-collar family. The executive producers are the drama’s original creator, Paul Abbott, and John Wells, whose credits include “ER” and “The West Wing.”

Allison Janney (“The West Wing”) will have a recurring role.

Production begins late this summer. An air date was not announced.

Allison tweeted that she was headed off to go film this movie, and here’s some more information about it (Thanks Qua!)

Allison Janney, Oliver Platt, Alia Shawkat, Adam Brody and Sam Rosen have been confirmed to join the cast of indie dark comedy “The Oranges.”

Thesps will appear alongside Hugh Laurie, Catherine Keener and Leighton Meester in the movie about a man (Laurie) who begins an affair with the daughter (Meester) of the family who lives across the street.

Anthony Bregman of Likely Story and Leslie Urdang and Dean Vanech of Olympus Pictures produce, with Olympus (“Adam,” “Rabbit Hole”) financing.

“Oranges” is currently being shot in Gotham with Julian Farino at the helm of a script by Jay Reiss and Ian Helfer.

CAA represents the pic’s North American rights while Film Nation reps international rights.

Emmy Award and Drama Desk Award winner Allison Janney will make a special appearance at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s annual fundraiser gala, to be held at the Hilton Short Hills in Short Hills, New Jersey, on April 10 beginning at 6:30pm.

The evening will feature a cabaret show of music and comedy, with performers including Becky Ann Baker, Bob Clohessy, Tom Galantich, Gregory Generet, Mark Jacoby, Laila Robins, Gareth Saxe, and Tamara Tunie.

In addition to kicking off the 2010 Season, the gala will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Artistic Director Bonnie J. Monte.
